AFTER two weeks of hard work, and long nights, five winners have emerged from the tough competition to
become champions in the LAMP2WIN competition.

LAMP2WIN - which stands for Linux-Apache-MySQLPHP (LAMP) to Microsoft Windows - is designed to
improve and drive up holistic software development within the programmer community.

PHP.net.my, a Malaysian community of PHP software developers, is the key organiser for the event and is done in collaboration with MSC Malaysia and Microsoft Malaysia.

The prize giving ceremony will be held at the MSC OSCON Event Venue, Berjaya Times Square Convention Cente, 14th floors, Berjaya Times Square at 6.30 pm - 9.30 pm on June 3, 2009 jointly with the MSC OSCON Hackathon prize giving and award party ceremony.

How to install MS-SQL support for Wordpress

1. Download this version of Wordpress ( http://wordpress.org/wordpress-2.7.1-IIS-RC1.zip ) preferably
2. Then, upload it on your webhosting that supports MSSQL and IIS like how you would usually do it
3. Download our Magic Plugin at ( http://code.google.com/p/wordpress-mssql/ )
4. Then upload that db.php to your wp-contents folder
5. Edit the MSSQL database setting in db.php file according to your MSSQL settings
6. You're done :D

At this moment, this workaround works for these functions, to where we have debugged and tested

• Basic submit, edit, manage posts and pages
• Comments system
• Dynamic sidebar
• Changing themes
• Installing plugins
• Long text retrieval

Memandangkan sekarang ini hanya tinggal kurang satu jam sahaja lagi sebelum pertandingan ini berakhir, saya fikir ini adalah post yang terakhir untuk diambil kira oleh juri-juri. Setakat ini bolehlah dikatakan myosCSS - iaitu aplikasi osCSS yang menyokong database MSSQL Buatan Malaysia telah berjaya dihasilkan untuk sama-sama dibangunkan lagi.
Setakat ini masih ada beberapa masalah dan error. Jadi keluaran ini akan disebut myosCSS 1.0 alpha release. Saya akan meneruskan lagi sehingga ke beta release dan stable version.
 
Rumusan akhir seperti berikut:

• Installation berfungsi sepenuhnya
• Database telah boleh disimpan, dipinda, dipadam dan dicipta sepenuhnya
• Mukasurat hadapan sudah berfungsi tetapi masih error
• Fungsi sendmail perlu disemak semula
• Admin page sudah boleh login tetapi masih ada error message

We are now less than 1 hour till mid-night, that means, all this 2 week of sweat and tears momment will end. We know that theres too much thing to be handle by just three man working on this project, added task at work.
 
The significant thing that we learn from this project is Database layer called Zend db. We surely will continue using Zend db as our Db Layer because the way that they generate the sequal is impresive. As developer that usually using MySQL, limiting the select is easy. just put LIMIT at the back or the sql syntax (etc. SELECT * FROM abc LIMIT 1) and you done.
 
But when come to MSSQL, the same result need to be converted into SELECT TOP 1 * FROM abc. You know how the pain is to change just between MySQL to MSSQL, how about others? added with LEFT JOIN and UNION?
 
But with Zend db, it just as simple as $db->select()->from('abc')->limit(1) and just leave it there for Zend to convert your sql into selected database type. That the reason we choose it, and also IceBB team.

nampaknya terpaksalah aku ringkaskan je blog aku ni.. sebab aku agak kesuntukan masa untuk

mengarang panjang2.. sorry banyak, dan juga aku tulis dalam bahasa rojak juga lah ya untuk kali

ni. Yang penting kita dapat kongsikan input yang diberikan.

Banyak juga yang telah aku pelajari dari pertandingan ini sama ada secara langsung atau tidak

langsung. Pada mulanya aku agak task yang diberikan agak mudah. Ya lah convert database sahaja..
